The Event

This past Tuesday, June 24, 2025, the Halifax Area Historical Society gathered at the Halifax Ambulance Shed to host its Annual Banquet. For those that have not attended, this is a time when members of the Society, as well as the community at large, gathers to feast and enjoy one another's company.

Over 90 individuals came together to share food, fellowship and memories on Tuesday, creating a scene that is too often missed and taken for granted in our world...a community, come together and sharing time and stories with one another. Becoming closer and forming bonds. Making history.

After the program and the catered roast beef dinner, entertainment was provided by the local musical sensation, Pat Cusick. He was INCREDIBLE to say the least!

It should be further noted that HAHS Officers and Board members were officially inducted by former board member Keith Miller and honorable plaques of recognition were bestowed to two of the Society's most dedicated members who have recently passed on: Robert Warfel and Pearl Hane.

What is Coming...

As the sun began to set and the insane humidity continued to linger outside, it struck me just how much is coming down the road for the Halifax Area Historical Society and the Halifax community at large. With so much history documented, a museum curated and organized by Danean Walker and Bob Warfel, digitized records, events and more, so much has been accomplished...and yet so much history still remains.

New blood has been founded and added to the ranks of the HAHS Board of Directors, but without the members and non-members of the Halifax community, we would never be where we are today. We thank you; whether you've given a donation, offered some new insight into Halifax history, or provided your time on a project or volunteer event, it is because of YOU that we are able to make history and preserve the past for the future.

Today, and always, we thank you. Together, let's make history this year.

To volunteer (we are always looking for help!), reach out to us by email at halifax.pa.history@gmail.com today. We'd love to hear from you!
