Treasures and Trinkets

Ah, it's good to be back.

The summer is a time to spend with friends, and family and to take part in innumerable events both locally and otherwise. As we all know, regardless of the amount of fun being had at all these events and plans we make, there is always the strain of the busy schedule that comes with it.

This weekend, the Society held its two-day annual yard sale in which Society and community members were welcomed to come and browse through a large assortment of donated items, from glassware and fabrics to books and figurines. Dozens more people came and went over the two-day period than in past sales, most finding a treasure or trinket of their own to purchase and take with them.

Despite the clouds that loomed overhead after a beautiful week of fine summer weather, the Society had a magnificent turnout for the yard sale. With summer in its last month and nearing the opening of Fall, the Halifax Area Historical Society is rearing to go, with many events, speakers and special releases coming to you soon.

For more information on upcoming events or to get involved with the Halifax Area Historical Society, check out our Events page or contact us. We would love to hear from you!
